Question…what is “Lead Conversion”? I like to bring everything into the real world experience of being an agent. In my mind lead conversion occurs the moment I set an appointment with a new buyer or seller. We will be talking about conversion from IDX registrations and sphere interaction.

So really in the online/website lead conversion process there are two times that lead conversion can happen. Not using your definition though, when an appointment is set.
I look at the first step as when the register or give their contact info…lead conversion from a visit to someone now in your database. And then the second lead conversion step – setting the appointment.
The interesting thing is agents have a hard time pinpointing this, because sometimes lead generation, lead conversion can happen in an instant. It will look like a collapsed process.

Multiple steps to the final conversion of the appointment indeed. But the big kahuna is the appointment so I like to work backward from that.
